While creating these 15 new performances, we utilized our past location to film and capture representations of the rules we were given. These photos in the above slideshow show the location we used for this assignment. The list of parameters we were given are listed below:

  • Disrupt workers at Powell
  • Block mailboxes with our performances
  •  Disrupt a group that is eating
  • Distract those that are going about their routine
  • Make people more self aware and uncomfortable with cameras
  • Audio of random noise of people talking
  • Candid photography, happy accidents
  • Video which incorporates viewers
  • Photography based on emotional and material aspects
  • Drawing a diagram to get a visual
  • What is your body capable of doing?
  • What are the serious rules that you follow?
  • How do you ensure safety?
  • What materials are available to you?
  • How much can you physically attain in space?

This project entailed combining pervious information gathered and new guidelines received from a different group from class. Once we discussed our rules we decided to not place our location within Powell, but form both new rules and old location together into our project above. The performances are mostly pictures, which demonstrate the simplicity of the rules we were given. Not only did we have to translate these 15 rules into performances which best utilize our surroundings, we each had to combine the rules presented into five new instructions. I believe we successfully demonstrated the list of instructions into these five documentations.
